With 120,000 motorcycles in Tamale, a city of 360,000, there was no school to learn how to repair motorcycle electrical systems, so we opened the first school of its kind in Ghana, through our NGO, Standing With Boys.
Many young men in Tamale, Ghana do not have the financial means to learn skills that will help them become self-reliant. We moved to Tamale to establish Prosperity Academy in August 2019 and graduated our first class in December 2019.
With a wait list of over 70 young men our desire is to expand the school to accommodate more students, include night classes, and add an extension to include a masonry class.
